Repairs and Improvements to the Village Hall
We now have 14 new tables and a table trolley that we purchased with a grant from the East Midlands Airport Community Fund and have re-stocked our kitchen with 40 new dinner plates - so now when we have a village meal we all get the same sized dinner!
The Hall has been completely redecorated, thanks to the Community Payback Scheme, activated as a result of the vandalism in 2007. A new kitchen has been fitted and new floor installed, thanks to money raised from the Arts and Crafts Festival. We now need to improve the toilet area, make a new entrance, and the second phase is to build a Sports Hall. The former will cost about £15,000, and the latter about £200,000. The Parish Council have agreed to support us with the running costs (like the majority of parishes) and grants for the first phase have been submitted.
